Canon has announced the C100 Camera for $7999

Canon has announced the release of the EOS C100 Video Camera with 1920x1080 resolution on a Super 35MM sensor for $7999. Making a more affordable addition to their new cinema camera lineup. It is scheduled to ship in November.With the 4K C500 shipping for $30,000 in October, the currently shipping 2K C300 for $15999, they now have a much more reasonably priced cousin.It is 4:2:0 instead of 4:2:2, but is 15% smaller with only a an EF mount and no RAW recording, but does inclue XLR inputs which is great.Canon is also releasing 2 more EF prime mounts a 14mm t3.1 and a 125mm t2.2 ready for 4K shooting.

Canon has updated EOS Utility for Lion

Canon has updated it’s EOS Utility to 2.10.4 with Lion Support. You must have the original version from your CD installed to update (can’t Canon just leave the software for full install online, you have to have the cameras to use it anyway).
