Olivia Tech has a video on the MoVi from NAB.Man this is an impressive rig! And it can fit up to an Epic with a prime lens, up to 10 pounds.
Vincent Laforet has posted this new video to answer questions about the MoVi, and it's working with their flyer, as well as pre-ordering. It is all shot with a Movie of course. You can view the FAQ here.I so want one, but there is just no way! ha!
Vincent Laforet has posted more on the MoVi and why he thinks it might be a game changer. And the following short, shot entirely single operator. HOOD from Henning Sandström on Vimeo.this short film was shot 100% handheld with a prototype MōVI M10 stabilized handheld gimbal over the course of 3 days in Hood River, OR. used a Panasonic GH3 and operated the MōVI in single operator "Majestic" mode for the majority of the shots. For more info on the MōVI click here: freeflysystems.comVery cool. I so wish I could afford a MoVI!
Vincent Laforet has posted another post about the amazing gyro stabilized Movi, where he tries to answer everyone's questions.Damn this thing looks bad ass. I would love one, but it is too much for me, but a great price instead of a Steadicam.
Just before NAB the new MoVi handheld stabilizer with gyro stabilization and accelerometers has been announced, and there is video from it and of it. It is $15000 and they are working on a smaller one for $7500.Here is the short film Movi: MōVI from Vincent Laforet on Vimeo. Here is the Movi rig in action: MōVI in Action (Quick Video) from Vincent Laforet on Vimeo. And BTS: MōVI BTS from Vincent Laforet on Vimeo.Sounds very very cool! And the footage all looks amazing for being handheld. Pretty damn impressive. The world needs more of these so we get away from the horrible shaky cam that has become so prevalent of late! This could replace steady cam. And I bet you could make an amazing rig to attach it to your body and not make your arms quite so tired as well. How if only someone could come up with one for much cheaper, though it certainly wouldn't be as impressive. Wow.
