Mac Vs. PC from Social Meteor
I totally agree, which is why I have been considering a PC for my next Mac. Sure there are things I like better on a Mac, but on a PC I can buy any video card I want, and get a huge powerful tower with many internal hard drives. And since Mac seems to have basically given up on MacPro’s (I know they are supposed to announce a new on this year, but with this long wait I am kind of thinking why bother, when PC’s seem to run faster).
Premiere Next best features from Walter Biscardi
Walter Biscardi has posted a quick 1 minute look at his top 10 (11) favorite features of the next version of Premiere Pro. He also says in the text just how fast the program is. Can’t wait to get my hands on it, especially with my GTX 675 with 4GB of RAM powering it.
Piccure Camera Shake Reduction Plug in Beta
Petapixel has an article on the beta of the new Piccure Camera Shake Reduction Plug in that you can download for free for 14 days to try to give feedback. Looks pretty amazing, I am looking forward to giving it a go. Be interesting to see if it is better than Adobe’s own solution which is coming with the next cloud version of creative cloud.
Paint Out After Effects Script
AE Scripts has Paint Out on sale for $19.99 down from $29.99. It helps to easily control, manage and visualize a large number of paintstrokes easily. Especially good for removing tracking markers and the like.
Align 3D AE Script
Align3D is a new After Effects script to align and distribute objects in 3D space. it is $29.99 or you can name your own price. Awesome.
Honestly I would buy more of these if I could take them with me. If there was a way to have a cloud license so you can install them and they only work if you log in one machine at a time, as I work in so many different offices on so many different machines. Sure I have awesome scripts on my home computer, but how awesome would it be to be able to take them with me wherever I go? Now that would rock!
PVC on Oblivion using Cinema 4D
The Pro Video Coalition has a press release on how the film Oblivion used Cinema 4D to do it’s effects. Interesting.
Cinema 4D is on my list to learn after DaVinci Resolve, as it’s new After Effects integration will be huge!
Gmunk on Oblivion’s Graphics
GMUNK has some video on Oblivion’s graphics. I have not seen it yet because of Tom Cruise, though the graphics do look impressive.
