Charlie Wood on 7 Best Gimbals for BMPCC 6K
Personally I want a DJI RS 2, thought I do like the dual handle design of the 2 Zhiyun models, as the camera is way too heavy for one handed operations.

It is a 7 and a half minute video, and does give a great overview on Masks in After Effects.
Always love interviews with an editor, though I would love a little more in depth, or longer honestly, but then I was a huge fan of Cinefex.
Jose Anutunes wrote this article with the impressive fact that 61% of the films at the Sundance Film Festival were cut on Adobe Premiere Pro.
The whole Sundance Film Festival could be viewed online this year, and it is more impressive that so many films were cut in Premiere. And 78% of the films used Adobe Creative Cloud tools, especially After Effects and Photoshop.
There was certainly a time when films would only be cut in AVID, but with Productions it is so much easier to have a large project, and even multiple users.
Honestly I love the online thing, having been to Sundance Before, I was blown away by how crappy some of the venues were, and just being able to see the films online really does expand who can see the films.
This video is from Ripple Training, which has some great training videos.
And of course keyboard shortcuts speed everything up, and press & hold is going to speed you up.
Honestly he hits the nail on the head on all of these, and I still remember my disappointment on the trashcan Mac Pro when it came out, though amazing how something similar with Apple Silicon, without any expandabillity except for Thunderbolt 4, and now I am excited for it.
How things have changed! Of course the built in Pro Res acceleration will certainly be a boon for editing, but I guess also running on an iMac Pro for the last few years has shown me that I don’t need that much expandability except for more damn Thunderbolt 4/USB C ports (as I already have 2 OWC Thunderbolt 4 hubs, and could use more ports).
Malcolm Owen at AppleInsider is reporting on a Fourth M1 chip with 12-core CPU may arrive in updated iMac Pro. This would be something above the Apple Silicon M1 Max, which is 10 core (8 core with 2 efficiency cores), so this would likely be 10 core with 2 efficiency cores. This sounds like a last M1 before M2 chips come in.
Maybe this makes the iMac Pro a bridge between the current Mac Book Pro and the Apple Silicon Mac Pro which has yet to be announced. it had seemed that the dual and maybe quad M1 Max chips rumored for the Mac Pro would also be for the iMac Pro, but this might mean it is an in between.
Let’s hope the iMac Pro has more than the current 4 Thunderbolt ports, 8 would rock, but 6 would be helpful.
Canon has released it’s EOS R5 C with Video and Photo modes, and basically fixes the video modes of the R5, with a huge cooling system attached to the back of the camera. It is $4500 though, $500 more than the standard R5, but it doesn’t have time limits on it’s 8K Video Capabilities. And it actually has modes for video and still, where the camera reboots in between.
I will never know why they remove image stabilization from the body which is in the R5, and built in ND would have been nice since the BMPCC 6k Pro includes it at about half the price.
There are already some video reviews up.
Cut/Daily has post number 196, Premiere Pro Text [Master} Styles Tip, which you will need to sign up for a free account to read.
Styles are certainly a quick way to get font styles in Premiere, so you can easily make changes, and have matching styles throughout. Now Adobe needs to implement the ability to batch change styles, like you can now see all the text in the text panel for spell check.
