The excellent PlumePack which replaces Adobe’s awful media mananger, also allows you to re-order tracks, here are instructions.

MagicNodes for After Effects. A license is $89 for a basic license and only corrective updates, or $149 with Premium with 1 year free maintenance, learning center, and $69 a year maintenance after the first year.
I have not given this a try but would like to. I really loved node based compositing in Shake, and then in DaVinci Resolve, so the ability to have it in after effects is amazing.
JG McQuarrie at Crumblepop has an excellent post on 7 ways to remove Plosives, in both recording and after the fact (always worse but most people will want you to fix it in post).
Jana at StrongMocha has this excellent post on making your own sound effects.
Of course not being a sound guy I have found the lack of audio plugs ins to be an issue with sound fx in editing programs, but possibly I do need a small suite of audio plugs ins to improve my ability to work on sounds effects and make them better.
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design have all lost their Pantone Swatches, and you can pay $15 for a Premium Service, which is supposed to restore some Pantone Functionality, but it is not the same and doesn’t restore the old swatches.
You can now install the Pantone Connect plug in and use a free account, but functionality is not as good.
Obviously this is saving Adobe money, but with the old Pantone swatches becoming unusable even with the paid subscription this is not a great solution.
Maxon One Fall Update has arrived and includes updates for almost everything.

Charles Yeager at Premium Beat has the article, which includes quite a few from VideoCopilot that have all recently been updated to M1 support.
Video Copilot has added M1 support to all of it’s paid and free plug ins, and they are of course free updates.
Also nice to have download links to all the free plug ins in one place.
I love all these plug ins and use them all extensively, so this is great news.
In fact I am really using the free ORB for a short I am working on right now.
Red Giant has updated Universe to version 6.
VFX Suite 3
Magic Bullet Suite 16.
And a new tool Real Lens Flares.
In past Red Giant has also released in depth videos showing off how to use the new features, but unfortunately it looks like they haven’t done that this year. Hopefully this isn’t how things will always be with the now Maxon owned company, bug I have the feeling it is. I guess will just have to play around.
The video for Real Lens Flares looks good, but will have to see if it is better than optical flares from Video Copilot.
