Apple Podcast app needs individual podcast controls for Playback speed

Apple’s Podcast app is a good app., and getting new features soon (according to MacRumors), but what it really needs is the ability to remember playback speed on a per podcast basis.

I listen to news podcasts that I always listen to at 2x speed, and then music podcasts, that need to be listened to at 1x speed so the music is correct and it is annoying to change the setting every time. You already set podcast feeds to have individual controls to how they are shown (in what order, newest or oldest first. All I ask it to allow a setting to always playback at the speed you select.

Roger Deakins has started a podcast on filmmaking, and it is a must listen

Roger A. Deakins is one of the best cinematographers around, in fact his work on 1917 I think proves that he is absolutely the best there is (thankfully the Academy awarded him for it, though that film deserved many more awards than it got). If you haven’t read my review of 1917 on my sister site, Whale of a Tale Productions you should check it out.

So he and his wife have started a Podcast and it is well worth checking out. You can see it at his web site or you can download it from Apple Podcasts.

FilmRiot is Premiere better than FCP

Film Riot has a a good video podcast on is Premiere Pro better than Final Cut Pro, and basically it comes down to that yes it is. It can open Final Cut Pro projects, and is really damn fast. And one of my favorites, is the After Effects integration, which really is incredible. Check out this video below.
