Apple has updated Mavericks to 10.9.1, and it will specifically fix mail to work better with Gmail (though I personally haven’t been having too many problems other than really slow update of read e-mail between devices. Check App Store for the update!
Everyone was expecting today to be the day fro the release of the new MacPro as Apple usually does it on Tuesdays, but as of 7:50 AM at least, the site still shows the basic MacPro information, but no info on upgrade costs, as it is suspected that these machines will quickly go up in price.
MacRumors does have a list of suspected prices for the upgrades, but until Apple actually releases it is all estimation.
Looks like an added $600 to go up to the D700 with 6GB of RAM and $800 for a 1TB SSD and $400 to go up to 32 GB of RAM, which is about all I could afford, as $1500 for an 8 core and $3000 for a 12 core just seems insane.
Adobe has released a what’s new in the 7.2 release of Adobe Premiere Pro CC.
Changes include a new VO recording workflow, as well as bug fixes and other enhancements.
Also supposedly the red flash in playback and export of ProRES footage has FINALLY BEEN FIXED!!
I love that Adobe is really listening and releasing new features and bug fixes so quickly! It is just really too bad that the studios are basically forcing people to use AVID Media Composer, when for any graphics heavy show, Premiere Pro is such a better solution, just for lack of render time, and saving time with alphas and exports.
Really annoying really. They have a 1 year warranty, but it is 1 year and 2 weeks out and it is dead! What a pain. Have contacted FitBit to see what they say, but am not hopefully since they are so specific on their warranty!
It just won’t take a charge anymore!
SideEffects has been updated to version 1.9 and restores color icons to the finder.
.
This was a huge mistake of Apple to remove a few versions of the OS ago, and I used SIMBL to bring it back for a while, but it was not entirely stable, so I am glad to have it back and working. Why should you not see your own custom drive icons and have an easier time seeing locations in the sidebar?
