We shall see. Some applications I am excited about, like fixing stuff in shots or extending stuff, but the completely generative stuff is certainly a bit scary. I am sure some commercials will just be done with generative stuff, and that will likely take some work away from editors like me.

I too love the customization of Premiere Pro. I love how you can do it exactly how you want to do it.
Honestly it is what I dislike so much about Final Citizen Pro, it forces you to work only how they want you to work and I feel like an engineer made the choices instead of an editor. And even AVId is not nearly as customizable as Premiere.

This really sucks as the improvements to raid and softraid would likely make it worthwhile, but it seems Apple is focusing more on Apple Silicon so these machines are really not their priority.

Honestly SoftRaid is usually the reason I have to wait on a MacOS upgrade, but having it actually fix SoftRaid issues that is amazing, and I was able to upgrade on day one.

Great video, but once again he skips over my favorite new feature the Color Slice tool, which is DaVinci’s answer to the recent Color DCTL’s.
And love that the edit page has been added to the iPad version as I am not as much a cut page user.

I will have to take a look at the parametric curve, though I mostly try and use DaVinci for Color Correction now. Also updates to GEO and Particular.
What’s New In After Effects
It looks like this one is mostly focused on 3D features. Which is great, as I hope the 3D gets better and better.
And 33 new Animation Presets.
And like Premiere we get the more contextual Properties Panel.
What’s New in Premiere Pro (Beta)
And a little more depth on the updated context sensitive Properties Panel that lets you make some changes to multiple clips at once (which is so very exciting).
The color management system is very exciting, and I glad Premiere will take an active role in your color management much like DaVinci Resolve’s Color Managed or ACES workflows, though I do hope it works better than the ARRI AMIRA plug in that was forced on us so long ago.
You can actually read about the Color Management System in the user manual from the previous August 16th, 2024 update, though the manual does not seem to have been updated to the latest and new Properties panel.
And any ProRES acceleration is always welcome, always! I just want some Black Magic acceleration as well!
