Rich Young at PVC’s January After Effects Roundup
I know, so late again!
I know, so late again!
Maxon has posted this excellent tutorial on Red Giant Geo, which is great since the defactor standard Video Copilot Element is really getting long in the tooth, so it is good to have a new plug in for 3D that is so poweful.
From John Aldred at DIY Photography. Depth Scanner does do an impressive job, though since it is AI edges can be a little weird.
Yea I am late posting this, but it is always worth reading, you will learn something new!
From BIGFILMS on YouTube.
Here is ZoeDepth online.
This is really so cool! I would love to see a version of this that can run locally on your computer. It isn’t magic, but this really is amazing. You can give some real depth to a still photo, which really gives done zing to your stills!
And the new rage is motion stills, so this is very cool. And this should allow something different than straight cutouts of layers.
I can’t wait until there is a version of this you can run on your own computer, just can’t trust a web site for production timelines. Lets hope this becomes a plugin, or is integrated into After Effects!
This is amazing!
Posted this very late again, but always worth checking out.
After Effects is actually one of the most valuable creative programs to learn as an editor.
CUT DAILY #374 – After Effects for Everyone
It is so true, every editor should know After Effects. Honestly I mostly don’t even consider doing any graphics in my NLE and just jump into after effects, but I have also been using it for well over 20 years now, and am always learning something new. So spend sone time and learn something new.
Late again, but as always worth reading.
Next-Gen Roto Brush, I have been looking forward to, the 3rd generation, and hopefully the best and most powerful version to date.
OpenColorIO Workflow enhancements is welcome as this is an industry standard and After Effects has always lacked color options.
Text Scripting Support should be an interesting addition to make more powerful text animations.
And Currently in the Beta
True 3D Workspace should be pretty awesome, since Adobe does have it’s own 3D software (just wish it was part of the same subscription).
