Adobe has lost it’s Pantone Swatches, and you can pay to get Pantone, but the functionality is not the same
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design have all lost their Pantone Swatches, and you can pay $15 for a Premium Service, which is supposed to restore some Pantone Functionality, but it is not the same and doesn’t restore the old swatches.
You can now install the Pantone Connect plug in and use a free account, but functionality is not as good.
Obviously this is saving Adobe money, but with the old Pantone swatches becoming unusable even with the paid subscription this is not a great solution.
Adobe Updates Photoshop to 2023, the October 2022 (Version 24.0) release
Selection improvements, is really impressive what the AI can do to select, and how easy it is to edit and fix these masks. Sure it might not be perfect, but what an incredible improvement.
One-click Delete and Fill, will be a huge addition for when you are separating the subject from the background as you will not have weird edges left to screw up any effects you put on your background image.
Invite to edit for collaboration features.
Share for review (beta) with shareable links, where you can get and manage feedback. I wonder if this uses Frame.io’s tech.
Photo Restoration Neural Filter (Beta) uses AI to restore old photographs. And it can use local AI, or higher quality but slower server based.

The whole Sundance Film Festival could be viewed online this year, and it is more impressive that so many films were cut in Premiere. And 78% of the films used Adobe Creative Cloud tools, especially After Effects and Photoshop.
There was certainly a time when films would only be cut in AVID, but with Productions it is so much easier to have a large project, and even multiple users.
Honestly I love the online thing, having been to Sundance Before, I was blown away by how crappy some of the venues were, and just being able to see the films online really does expand who can see the films.

So Adobe has updated photoshop to 2022 with more Sensei Features.
